What if resilience isn’t about preparing for individual emergencies?
London faces overlapping pressures: extreme weather, infrastructure disruption, societal and economic uncertainty and emerging threats we cannot yet predict.
This interactive day will bring together leaders and practitioners from diverse sectors to explore whether resilience can be assured through reference to common principles and capabilities rather than risk-specific plans.
Participants input will shape both London’s Trailblazer Programme and contribute to a European research initiative, by testing how resilience can be assessed and strengthened.
Focus areas
The whole of society approach to managing acute and chronic risk.
As part of London’s Trailblazer Programme, which aims to strengthen leadership, accountability, integration across London’s resilience partnerships, the AGILE Stress Test will explore how risk-agnostic approaches and principles could work to provide assurance of capability. AGILE will generate evidence and learning to support more effective and community-informed emergency response arrangements.
